Latin is not a dead language. It can be found on most pages of Harry Potter books. Surprise, but J.K. Rowling majored in Classics and every single spell is real Latin. Given that the pronunciation is sometimes wrong, as depicted in the films, it’s still written correctly. Also, they’ve already translated three of the seven books in complete Latin.
